International Bulk Mail™ Overview
Overview
International Bulk Mail allows you to send international mail at the same time as Mailsort®, Presstream® or Walksort® inland mailings, or alternatively as standalone mailings. You need to spend a minimum of £2,500 per year on International Bulk Mail (if a standalone mailing).

Priority items are sent by the next available flight and the receiving country’s equivalent of First Class mail.
Economy items are sent by surface mail and the receiving country’s equivalent of Second Class mail.
Product instructions
- All items in your mailing must be the same format (Letter, Flat or Packet), shape and size
- All items will need to be addressed with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) font or typefaces and include the destination country in the last line
- You don’t need to sort the international part of your mailing by country, you just hand it over in one separate bag, and we’ll do the rest
- The items will be processed according to their service speed hence there are two Standard selection codes for International Bulk Mail within the Mailsort database:
99891 for Priority items
99895 for Economy items - If the mailing is purely International you will need to send at least 4,000 letters or 1,000 Flats or Packets
- If your mailing consists of both International and domestic elements, then the total must reach the minimum of 4,000 letters, 1,000 Large Letters/Flats or Packets. For example a mailing of 3,000 inland letters and 1,000 International letters would qualify
Pricing
Prices are by country, weight, format and service speed. High volume discounts apply if you are mailing more than 50,000 international items.
