Mailsort Database - Comma Delimited Field Format

The Mailsort database files have been zipped. For more information on Zip files, Click Here.

Database Files

Filename
MSORTA.DAT
MSORTB.DAT
MSORTC.DAT
MSORTD.DAT
MECHB.DAT

All of the above files are in comma delimited format. Fields are separated by commas and are treated as character strings - each is therefore enclosed by double quotation marks (with the exception of empty fields, which require no quotation marks).

The records in each file are terminated by Carriage Return (ASCII: 13) and Line Feed (ASCII: 10) characters.

Please Note:

The MECHB.DAT file (for line listings) is only to be used by customers sending Mailsort 700 or Mailsort 120 mailings.

Also included in the Zip File:

README.TXT is a detailed format description of the Mailsort database files.
