The companies in this directory market Mailsort systems that have had only the sortation element tested and validated by Royal Mail. They are not Royal Mail Recommended suppliers. Royal Mail is not responsible for the quality of the remaining software functionality or support.

We recommend that you obtain full quotes for work from any supplier you may contact. Questions you may like to ask suppliers include:

  • How long will the work take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Will I have to pay for updates? (The Mailsort Database is updated every 12-18 months and is distributed free of charge by Royal Mail. However, some suppliers re-format the Database and charge customers for performing the update.)
  • Will training be given?
  • What level of technical support will I receive?

We stress that any agreement you reach is between you and the supplier, but would like to hear from you if you have any comments about the list.

The directory may be accessed by a number of indexes:

  • The bureaux index lists those suppliers offering Mailsort bureau services, in alphabetical order of supplier, indicating which Mailsort services are offered.
  • The software index lists those suppliers offering Mailsort software packages, in alphabetical order of Operating System and supplier, again indicating which Mailsort services are supported.
  • The supplier index lists all suppliers in alphabetical order.

  • The walksort penetration index lists those suppliers offering a free penetration check to determine suitability of a mailing for Walksort.
